Description
Two bodies in the dark, with patterns projected onto them. The light follows their volumes, breaks at their edges, and lets whatever it does not touch disappear. What emerges sits between body and map: skin becomes contour line, movement becomes wave.

The title names the method, and more than the method. A moiré is the pattern produced when two grids overlap — a third image present in neither. The word comes from textiles, from watered silk. And it lies close to the Moirai, the Fates who spin the thread of life, measure it, and cut it. All three meanings begin with thread; the film weaves light across bodies and cuts away with the same light.

The projection system was developed for this work. The music was generated with Suno. Apart from the dance, this is a one-person production.
